FLOMAR® 10B40

Inorganic Coalescent
10% Al2O3Polyaluminium chloride hydroxide
FLOMAR 10B40 is a liquid inorganic coalescent highly performing and completely soluble in water, whose active ingredient is (made of) a polymeric complex of hydroxyaluminium ions.

PROPERTIES'

FLOMAR 10B40 is supplied in aqueous solution in order to make the transport, the storage and the dosage easier. In comparison with traditional coalescents (ferric chloride and/or aluminium sulphate), its advantages are:
• Higher coalescent power due to the formation of bigger flocs with a consequent higher settling speed;
• Decanted sludge more easily filterable;
• High countdown in a wide pH range, which make the use of neutralizing agents as caustic sode or lime unnecessary;
• Less abatement of treated water pH;
• More reduction of turbidity at a parity of active principle expressed as Al2O3 with a consequent reagent-saving;
• Better performances even at low temperatures;
• In case of overdosage an increase in treated water turbidity is not registered, making it suitable for waters whose content of suspended solid changes suddenly and causally;
• A strong cutting action of the COD and of the phosphorus concentration in treated water places side by side the clarification.

USES

Its concentration of aluminium makes FLOMAR10B40 particularly suitable for treatment where a precise control of the dosage of the product is requested, overall for the industrial and urban waste water depuration, as well as for sizing treatments in the paper industry. Moreover it is in conformity with the category “Type 1” of the European Standard EN 883:1997 “Chemicals used for treatment of water intended for human consumption – Polyaluminium chloride hydroxide and Polyaluminium chloride hydroxide sulphate”, as well as the specific techniques of the Form UNICHIM C-5 “Chemicals used for treatment of water intended for human consumption – Polyaluminium chloride hydroxide sulphate”, so it can be used in plants for water potabilization with excellent results

STABILITY

If it is well-preserved, FLOMAR 10B40 can be considered stable. However, in order to preserve the product properties completely, it is recommended to clean carefully stocking tanks every maximum 12 months. It is also recommended not to keep the product more than 6 months.

TRANSIT PACKING, STORAGE, HANDLING

FLOMAR 10B40 is provided by tank trucks with a capacity of 28 tons.
All equipment being in contact with the product, from the storage to the dosage, have to be made of an antiacid material. For the handling and any other information about users' health, look at the Safety Form which have to be requested during the first order agreement.

USING PROCEDURES

FLOMAR 10B40 can be dosed as it is or diluted. In this second case dilution water have to be distilled.
